The ultimate trowel...
...discovered during survey work at Wednesbury Forge. Located in the cellar behind the site gatehouse, until recently used as a store for 'seconds' and comprised partly of the original cellars from the 19th century manager's house.

Ironbridge Archaeology is the archaeology unit of the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust. Established over 30 years ago, we specialise in historical archaeology and the archaeology of industrialisation. We are based in the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site, but undertake commercial archaeological work throughout the whole country.
